AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING PROPERTY
LOCATED IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL
ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS,
SECTION 1. That the zone classification of the
following property be and is hereby changed as indicated:
Z- 6952 -A - Described as Lot 2, Block 5, Westwood
Addition, Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas: From
"C -3" General Commercial to "C -4" Open Display
Commercial District. (9117 Asher Avenue)
LESS and EXCEPT the South twenty (20) feet of the
above described property which is hereby zoned "OS"
Open Space District.
SECTION 2. That the map referred to in Chapter 36 of
the Code of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock and
designated district map be and is hereby amended to the
extent and in the respects necessary to affect and
designate the change provided for in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. That the Ordinance shall take effect and be
in full force 30 days after the date of its passage and
approval.
SECTION 4. Severability. In the event any title,
section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word
of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall
not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which
shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared to adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not
originally a part of the ordinance.

Re: 9117 Asher Avenue — Rezone from R -2 and C -3 to C -4
As President of Southwest Little Rock United for Progress, I do support the
approval of the requested C -4 zoning with the southern 20 feet of the tract to
be zoned OS, Open Space.
I would also request that the applicant place opaque fencing along all
portions of the property that can be viewed from the street. Residents in the
area are interested in the general appearance and neatness of the Asher
Avenue corridor.
This statement of support is my opinion. The membership of Southwest little
Rock United for Progress did not have the opportunity to vote on the matter.
