3 AN ORDINANCE TO CHANGE THE NAME OF THE DEPARTMENT OF 931
4 MANAGEMENT SUPPORT TO NOW BE THE OFFICE OF
5 INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, the Office of Management Support deals with the management, operation,
8 upgrade, and maintenance of various City information systems, and
9 WHEREAS, a more accurate description of the work of this department in an era where
10 information creation, preservation, and transmission, is a new form of technology is the Office
11 of Information Technology,
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
13 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
14 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to rename the Office of Management
15 Support to the Office of Information Technology.
16 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
17 phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
18 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall
19 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
20 unconstitutional was not originally a part of the ordinance.
21 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
22 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such
23 inconsistency.
