3 AN ORDINANCE TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO THE CENTRAL
4 LITTLE ROCK COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
s IN THE AMOUNT OF $1792923 TO CONSTRUCT SIX
6 AFFORDABLE HOMES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the City has undergone a citizen participation process, consistent
9 with its U. S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) Consolidated
10 Plan, and has identified a need for new construction as infill of affordable homes to first
11 time home buyers, and
12 WHEREAS, after compliance with appropriate federal regulations it has been
13 determined that the Central Little Rock Community Development Corporation
14 (CLRCDC) should be awarded a contract to build six new homes, that HOME
Is Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) funds should be used, and
16 that the City Manager should executive a necessary contract with CLRCDC to build
17 these homes,
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
19 DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into agreements in a form
21 acceptable to the City Attorney with the CLRCDC to build six affordable homes for
22 eligible first time home buyers as infill in the CLRCDC Centennial Housing Infll
23 Project in an amount not to exceed one hundred and seventy nine thousand nine
24 hundred and twenty three dollars ($179,923.00).
25 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available in Account HM99 -HOM-
26 A359.
27 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, or resolutions, of parts of the
28 same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to
29 the extent of such inconsistency.
