2 AN ORDINANCE TO RENEW THE TAXICAB
3 OPERATOR PERMITS FOR BLACK & WHITE CAB
4 COMPANY, FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEARFROM
s FEBRUARY 12 2000, TO JANUARY 31, 2001; TO
6 DECLARE AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER
7 PURPOSES.
8 WHEREAS, the Division of Fleet Services is in the process of renewing taxicab
9 operator permits, and
10 WHEREAS, the Black & White Cab Company has submitted an application for
11 the renewal of its taxicab operator permits,
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
13 DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
14 Section 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, renews
1s 55 of the 83 taxicab operator permits for Black & White Cab Company for the one year
16 period from February 1, 2000, to January 31, 2001. These taxicab operator permits shall
17 expire at 12:00 midnight, Central Standard Time, on January 31, 2001.
18 Section 2. Emergency Clause. The ability to assure visitors and residents of the
19 City that the taxicabs in which they ride are duly permitted and inspected and, otherwise
20 in compliance with the Transportation Code of the City, is essential to preserve the
21 public health, safety and welfare; an emergency is therefore declared to exist and this
22 ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after February 1, 2000, at 12:01 a.m.,
23 Central Standard Time.
