17,982
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK
ORDINANCE NO. 17,977 (APRIL 6, 1999) FOR THE
SOLE PURPOSE OF RELEASING THE CITY'S
RESERVATION OF RIGHTS TO USE THE FORMER
STREET RIGHT OF WAY FOR DRAINAGE AND
UTILITY PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, on April 9, 1999 the Little Rock Board of Directors passed Little Rock
Ordinance No. 17,977 which vacated and abandoned the former street right of way of a portion
of Izard Street between North Street and the Union Pacific Railroad; and
WHEREAS, Section 2 of the ordinance reserved in the City the right to use the closed
right of way for drainage and utility purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that it does not need the former right of way for
the stated purposes and therefore such reservation of use may be released.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City hereby releases and abandons its reservation of the right to use
for utility and drainage purposes the former right of way of Izard Street between North Street
and the Union Pacific Railroad and abutting Block 354 of Clay's Subdivision and Block 353
of the Original City of Little Rock, Arkansas, as designated on the plat of Clay's Subdivision
appearing of record in Plat Book 2, Page 16, in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County,
Arkansas.
