3 AN ORDINANCE WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
4 SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT WITH DIVERSIFIED SOFTWARE
5 SYSTEMS, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $21,200 FOR THE
6 PURCHASE OF COMPUTER SOFTWARE AND EQUIPMENT
7 FOR THE BUILDING CODES DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT
OF PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors that funds be used for the
11 purchase of computer software and equipment to enhance the operation of the Building
12 Codes Division; and

WHEREAS, Diversified Software Systems, Inc. of Orlando, Florida, is the sole
14
15 source for this purchase.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
17 DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 SECTION 1. Diversified Software Systems, Inc. of Orlando, Florida is the sole
19
source for this purchase; therefore, the requirement of competitive bidding is hereby
20
21 waived.
22 SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a sole source contract
23 with Diversified Software Systems, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $21,200 for the
24 purchase of computer software and equipment for the Building Codes Division of the
25
Department of Planning and Development.

26 SECTION 3. Funding is available in Account No. 210- 113 -0813.
