3 AN ORDINANCE WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDS AND
4 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
5 SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT WITH CLARK MACHINERY
6 COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,380.27 FOR THE
7 REPAIR OF A 1987 SAKAI STREET GRINDER FOR THE
8 PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.

10 WHEREAS, Clark Machinery Company is the only authorized local Sakai repair center, and
11 WHEREAS, required parts and factory technical support (engineering drawings) are not
12 available to other equipment dealers or independent repair shops.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
14 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
15 SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids and enter into a contract with
16 Clark Machinery Company in the amount of $15,380.27 for the repair of a 1987 Sakai street grinder
17 for the Public Works Department.
18 SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to waive competitive bidding and
19 declare Clark Machinery Company as a sole source provider to repair the City's street
20 grinder.
21 SECTION 3. Funding for this project is available in account number 600- 360 -6040-
22 6041 -9201.
