3 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING 1998 LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT
4 BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM FUNDS.

6 WHEREAS, the Department of Justice awarded the City $935,248 to be utilized
7 for law enforcement functions; and
8 WHEREAS, the City appropriated a match of $103,916 on September 15, 1998,
9 to bring the total to $1,039,164; and
10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
11 DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
12 SECTION 1. The sum of $935,248 is hereby appropriated to the Special Project
13 created for the 1998 LLEBG (210- 350- A070 -M70) that also includes the match of
14 $103,916.
15 SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to appropriate $1,039,164 in 1998
16 Local Law Enforcement Block Grant Program funds in accordance with the Police
17 Department's Spending Plan: Pulaski County $156,379, police overtime $400,000,
18 additional replacement vehicles $250,000, equipment for the Police Training Facility
19 $100,000, and software and modem upgrades for existing laptop programs $132,785.
