AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO COVER
EXPENSES FOR THE CITY IMPOUND FACILITY
IMPROVEMENTS.
WHEREAS, the Impound Facility has been in operation since February of 1996; and
WHEREAS, the current site was a temporary location until a permanent site could be
found; and
WHEREAS, the current office facility is a modified mobile trailer and the main lots total
approximately five acres; and
WHEREAS, the new facility has adequate office space as well as over ten acres of land
available for vehicle storage.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to appropriate $305,881 from the General
Fund operating reserve account 100 -8501 to the Impound Lot Special Project Account in Fund
210 to provide funding to complete the land and building preparations for the Impound Facility
to move to its new location on J. E. Davis Drive (old Sanitation Building).
SECTION 2. The new loan will be for three years, and the Finance'Director is
authorized to emend on a yearly basis if needed.
