3 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER
4 28 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARK., REV.
5 CODE (1988) RELATING TO LANDFILL
6 TIPPING FEES ASSESSED TO PULASKI
7 COUNTY AT THE CITY LANDFILL.

9 WHEREAS, Pulaski County is receiving a tipping fee discount at the City Landfill
10 because it is a governmental unit and part of the Pulaski County Solid Waste Management
11 District; and
12 WHEREAS, the City desires to require that Pulaski County pay the current City
13 Landfill tipping fees, thus removing the rate discount; and
14 WHEREAS, the new landfill tipping fees for Pulaski County will be phased in over
15 a three -year time period.
16 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
17 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
18 SECTION 1. That Chapter 28 of Little Rock, Ark., Rev. Code (1988) is hereby
19 amended to provide for an increase in tipping fees being assessed to Pulaski County at the
20 City Landfill.
21 SECTION 2. The increase in tipping fees for Pulaski County will be as follows:
22 Beginning January 1, 1997, the Pulaski County tipping fee at the City Landfill will increase
23 to $22.81 per ton; Beginning January 1, 1998, the Pulaski County tipping fee at the City
24 Landfill will increase to $26.40 per ton; Beginning January 1, 1999, the Pulaski County
25 tipping fee at the City Landfill will increase to $30.00 per ton.
