AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT
BIDS AND AWARD A CONTRACT TO YAMAHA MOTOR
MANUFACTURING FOR THE LEASE PURCHASE OF GOLF CARTS
FOR THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids and award a contract to
Yamaha Motor Manufacturing for the lease purchase of golf carts for the Parks and Recreation
Department.
SECTION 2. Funds will be available from the current operating budget.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.

RECOMMENDATION AND DISCUSSION: It is recommended that the bid submitted
by Yamaha Motor Mfg. be accepted. Based on previous years receipts the gross revenues
from three years of cart rental should be approximately $1,500.000. That amount less
the total three year lease price from Yamaha of $197,316 would yield an estimated
$1,302,684 net return. The lease price includes the trade -in of the existing fleet and all
major maintenance work.
