HomeMy WebLinkAbout17722ORDINANCE NO. 17,722 17 AN ORDINANCE DISSOLVING WATER PIPE LINE IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 136 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND PRESCRIBING OTHER MATTERS PERTAINING THERETO WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 13,947 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas (the "City ") passed and approved the 16th day of December, 1980. established Water Pipe Line Improvement District No. 136 of Little Rock, Arkansas (the "District "). WHEREAS, the District was formed for the purpose of constructing a water pipe line distribution system to connect with the municipal water system of the City (the "improvements "); and WHEREAS, the improvements have been completed and are owned and operated by the City as a part of the municipal water system; and WHEREAS, the bonds and other obligations of the District, including the District's Improvements Bonds, have been paid in full and surplus funds have been distributed by the District to the property owners; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 14,315 of the City, passed and adopted the 21st day of September, 1982 levied a tax on the assessment of benefits of the District (the "Tax "); and WHEREAS, the Commissioners of the District have requested that the District be dissolved; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas: 174- Section 1. That Water Pipe Line Improvement District No. 136 of Little Rock, Arkansas is hereby dissolved. Section 2. That the Tax shall no longer be extended for collection. Section 3. That a certified copy of the Ordinance shall be filed with the County Collector of Pulaski County, Arkansas. Section 4. That the Commissioners are hereby relieved from further duties. Section 5. That Ordinance No. 13,947 and Ordinance No. 14,315 are hereby repealed. All other ordinances and parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
