HomeMy WebLinkAbout1766117 ORDINANCE NO. 17,661 2 3 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER 4 TO EXTEND CONTRACTS FOR COMMUNITY -BASED 5 PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION SERVICES. 6 7 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors adopted Resolution Number 10,129 to extend 8 contracts for community -based prevention programs, subject to appropriations; and 9 WHEREAS, Ordinance Number 17,646, the 1998 Budget Ordinance, adopted by the 10 Little Rock Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock on December 16, 1997, established 1 l appropriations for these contracts from prevention, intervention and treatment funds generated 12 from the FUTURE -Little Rock tax revenue. 13 14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 15 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 16 17 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to extend the following contracts for 18 prevention and intervention services: 19 Contract 20 Program Amount 21 1. Pros Arty Pre - Charging Diversion Program $25,086 22 2. Boy Scouts, Quapaw Area $26,967 23 3. Joseph Pfeifer Camp $30,000 24 4. Greater Friendship $32,354 25 5. Girls Scouts, Ouachita Area $33,919 26 6. Big BrotherBig Sisters $34,002 27 7. Watershed, Inc. $36,826 28 8. Philander Smith's Brother -to- Brother $37,040 29 9. Shepherd's Ranch $49,475 30 10. Arkansas Arts Center $37,190 31 32 Section 2. The City intends to award these contracts for a twelve -month period (January 33 1, 1998 to December 31, 1998), with possible renewal of contracts for one additional year in 1999 34 based on performance and appropriations. Funding for 1999 is contingent upon appropriations by 35 the Board of Directors in the adoption of the 1999 budget. 36 Section 3.
