5 ORDINANCE NO. 17,568 (SEPTEMBER 2, 1997)
6 REMOVING PULASKI COUNTY AS A PARTY TO
7 THE 6 BRIDGES INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT, AND
8 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark. Ordinance ( "LRO ") No. 17,568 (September 2, 1997)
11 provided for the City of Little Rock to enter into an interlocal agreement with various
12 political entities including Pulaski County to develop a comprehensive urban design plan of
13 the downtown areas of Little Rock and North Little Rock; and
14 WHEREAS, officials of Pulaski County have decided not to enter into this interlocal
15 agreement; and
16 WHEREAS, all of the other political entities have approved the execution of the
17 interlocal agreement and desire to go forward with the project described in LRO 17, 568; and
18 WHEREAS, the ordinance should be amended to remove Pulaski County from
19 participation in the interlocal agreement and to reduce the stated contribution of the political
20 entities by $25,000 for a total amount of $75,000, in order to permit the City of Little Rock
21 to proceed with execution of the interlocal agreement.
22 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
23 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
24 SECTION 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes a one (1) year
25 interlocal agreement between the City of Little Rock, the City of North Little Rock, the Little
26 Rock Advertising and Promotion Commission, the University of Arkansas, and the State of
27 Arkansas for the purpose of coordinating the development of a comprehensive urban design
28 plan of the 6 Bridges District and downtowns adjacent thereto, and of Capitol Avenue in
29 Little Rock.
30 SECTION 2. The cost of the Six Bridges Project plan is seventy -five thousand
31 dollars ($75,000). Little Rock, North Little Rock, and the Little Rock Advertising and
32 Promotion Commission each have agreed to pay $25,000 toward the $75,000 cost of the
33 plan. The sum of twenty -five thousand dollars ($25,000) has been previously appropriated
34 in LRO 17,568 for the City of Little Rock's portion of the cost of the 6 Bridges Urban
35 Design Plan. Fifty percent (50 %) shall be paid at the beginning of the term of the Interlocal
36 Agreement (September 1, 1998), with thirty percent (30 %) due at the six month milestone,

1 and a final payment of twenty percent (20 %) due upon delivery of the final maps and plan

documents.

SECTION 3. In all other respects,
LRO 17,568 shall remained unchanged and

in full force and effect.
