AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
AN ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
GARVER & GARVER, INC., FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION
AND /OR WIDENING OF SCOTT STREET FROM
MARKHAM STREET TO EAST 3"n STREET, A JOINT
PROJECT WITH THE ARKANSAS HIGHWAY AND
TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT UTILIZING
INTERMODAL SURFACE TRANSPORTATION
EFFICIENCY ACT ( ISTEA) MONIES.
WHEREAS, the City has previously committed by resolution of the Board of Directors to a
local match on the Scott Street Widening Project based on citizen requests and needed maintenance.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to transfer and appropriate the sum of
$162,500 from the 1997 Infrastructure Fund and enter into an engineering services contract with
Garver & Garver, Inc., in the amount of $78,100 ( 80% ISTEA - 20% City) for the reconstruction
and/or widening of Scott Street from Markham Street to East Yd Street, a joint project with the AHTD
utilizing ISTEA monies.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
