HomeMy WebLinkAbout175611 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 ORDINANCE NO. 17,561 581 AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING PORTIONS OF JEFFERSON DRIVE, MONROE DRIVE, HIGHLAND CIRCLE PINEHILL TERRACE AND ALL UNNAMED STREETS, ALLEYS AND RIGHTS -OF -WAY WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF THE FORMER HIGHLAND PARK PUBLIC HOUSING DEVELOPMENT. WHEREAS, it has been determined that the rights -of -way within the boundaries of the former Highland Park public housing development in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, are no longer needed for corporate purposes, and WHEREAS, the entire land area within the former Highland Park development is being redeveloped with new streets, easements and rights -of -way dedicated to the public as described in the approved preliminary plat of the area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas hereby releases, vacates and abandons all of its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the rights -of -way designated as follows: Portions of Jefferson Drive, Monroe Drive, Highland Circle, Pinehill Terrace and all unnamed streets, alleys and rights -of -way, platted and unplatted, within the boundaries of the former Highland Park public housing development. SECTION 2. This Ordinance is conditioned upon the final plat of this property being filed of record which dedicates to the public the new streets, alleys, easements and rights -of -way. SECTION 3. The abutting owner of record receiving title to the abandoned rights -of -way and easements shall, at its cost, remove all vestiges of public use and access as may exist; such modifications to include, but not be limited to the following: a. The edge of pavement of the former right -of -way shall be rebuilt to conform to existing conditions at the point where the abandoned right -of- way and easement intersects with the remaining public right -of -way, at such time as construction of the new streets and rights -of -way commences. I SECTION 4. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed in 2 the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas and recorded in the real estate records of 3 Pulaski County. 582 4 SECTION 5.
