AN ORDINANCE DISPENSING WITH
COMPETITIVE BIDS AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT WITH CLARK MACHINERY
COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF A
REPLACEMENT DRYER DRUM FOR THE CITY
ASPHALT PLANT LOCATED AT THE
CENTRAL MAINTENANCE FACILITY.

WHEREAS, this is a replacement component; and
WHEREAS, the current dryer drum was purchased in 1986 as
part of the City's asphalt Batch Plant through Clark Equipment
Company, the local dealer; and
WHEREAS, this new dryer is manufactured by the same
company as the original and will fit into the same supports as
the original and the unit will be complete with warranty.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to dispense
with competitive bidding and enter into a contract with Clark
Machinery Company in the amount of $27,440.76 for the purchase
of a replacement dryer drum for the City Asphalt Plant located
at the Central Maintenance Facility.
SECTION 2. Funding for this purchase is available in
account number 200 - 220 - 2210 - 7020(10).
