AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MATCHING FUNDS FOR A
POLICE DEPARTMENT LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK
GRANTS PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Finance Department indicates that the Police Department
has a 1996 budget surplus in their personnel costs, which will be reflected as an addition to the
General Fund balance; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors that a part of these funds be used
for matching funds for a Police Department Local Law Enforcement Block Grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The sum of $133,000 is hereby appropriated from the General Fund
balance to be transferred to a special project that will bear interest as matching funds for a
Police Department Local Law Enforcement Block Grant.
