WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark., Rev. Code § 22 -136 (1988) provides for four (4) year terms for trustees of the Board of the Arkansas Museum of Science and History; and WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees desires to amend that ordinance to provide that trustees shall be elected to serve for a term of three (3) years instead of four (4) years as presently written. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1: Little Rock, Ark., Rev. ,Code 22 -136 (1988), Generally, is hereby amended to read as follows: The management and control of the Arkansas Museum of Science and History and its historical and scientific program is hereby vested in the Board of Trustees which shall have not less than nine (9) nor more thirty (30) members, to be appointed by the Board of Directors. Neither the Articles of Incorporation nor Bylaws nor any policy of the Board of Trustees of the Arkansas Museum of Science and History, Inc., or its trustees shall be inconsistent with the ordinances of the City and the statutes of the state. After the initial election of the trustees to the Board, the trustees shall thereafter be elected to serve for a term of three (3) years. No trustee may serve more than two (2) consecutive terms. The Mayor shall serve as ex- officio member of the Board of Trustees.
