HomeMy WebLinkAbout17164ORDINANCE NO. 17,164 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS AT THE LITTLE ROCK ZOO; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, on December 26, 1995, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock adopted the 1996 Budget Ordinance for the city of Little Rock, including appropriations for capital projects; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that drainage improvements at the Little Rock Zoo are needed for compliance with the Department of Pollution, Control and Ecology standards and to meet American Zoological Association accreditation requirements; and projects; and WHEREAS, the 1995 Year End Financial Report indicated that the balance in the Special Projects Fund was $477,483 and only $300,000 of that balance was appropriated in Ordinance No. 17,068 (the 1996 Budget Ordinance), and.' $30,000 was appropriated in Ordinance No. 17,145, leaving an available balance of $147,483. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1: There is hereby appropriated from the fund balance of the special projects Fund the sum of $145,000 for drainage improvements at the Little Rock Zoo for compliance with the Department of Pollution, Control and Ecology standards and to meet American Zoological Association accreditation requirements. SECTION 2: The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to undertake the required corrections that are funded by this Ordinance as soon as practicable.
