ORDINANCE NO. 17,145
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR
CORRECTION OF SAFETY VIOLATIONS; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, on December 26, 1995, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock
adopted the 1996 Budget Ordinance for the City of Little Rock, including appropriations for
capital projects; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Arkansas Department of Labor, Arkansas
Occupational Safety and Health Section, that City buildings contain safety violations that must
be corrected as soon as possible; and
WHEREAS, the 1995 Year End. Financial Report indicated that the balance in the
Special Projects Fund was $477,483 and only $300,000 of that balance was appropriated in
Ordinance No. 17,068 (the 1996 Budget Ordinance), leaving an available balance of $177,483.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the fund balance of the Special Projects
Fund the sum of $30,000'for correction of safety violations in City buildings, as determined by
the Arkansas Department of Labor, Arkansas Occupational Safety and Health Section.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to undertake the
required corrections that are funded by this Ordinance as soon as practicable.
