2 AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THAT FUNDS FROM THE ONE -HALF
3 CENT SALES TAX REVENUES BE PLACED IN THE FUTURE -LITTLE

5 ROCK RESERVE.

7 WHEREAS, on December 14, 1993, voters of the City of Little Rock approved a one-
8 half cent local sales tax effective February 1, 1994, to fund various new service initiatives
9 designed to address many needs of the community; and
10
11 WHEREAS, during 1995, the Board of Directors appropriated $13,765,528 in funds
12 from the one -half cent local sales tax revenues to provide for various service initiatives, and actual
13 funds received exceeded the funds appropriated by $2,289,486, and the Board of Directors
14
15 wishes to reserve those funds for future appropriations to meet the needs of the community; and
16 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors appropriated $1,000,000 of this excess to the
17 FUTURE - Little Rock reserve in Ordinance No. 16,980.

19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
20 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:

22 SECTION 1. The sum of $1,289,486 is hereby appropriated from the General Fund
23 balance and hereby directed to be transferred to the FUTURE - Little Rock reserve, account
24 number 100 -8513.
