ORDINANCE NO. 17,031
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 16,797 (THE 1995 BUDGET
ORDINANCE); APPROPRIATING FUNDS FORTHE CHILDREN'S MUSEUM
OF ARKANSAS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, on December 14, 1994, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas adopted the 1995 Budget Ordinance for the City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors finds that the Children's Museum of Arkansas is a
vital community resource and is in need of funding support in order to continue to provide
services to the youth of the community; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors to support the Children's Museum
of Arkansas as a public purpose in serving all Little Rock citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The 1995 Program Budget Summary attached to Ordinance No. 16,797,
the 1995 Budget Ordinance, is hereby amended to decrease the budget of Organization 1032,
Community Relations, by $45,000, the funds originally budgeted for printing of a calendar. The
sum of $45,000 is hereby reappropriated in order to fund a contract for services with the
Children's Museum of Arkansas.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract for services
with the Children's Museum of Arkansas in the amount of $45,000, after the contract has been
properly reviewed and approved by the City Attorney's office.
