AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM THE
GENERAL FUND BALANCE FOR THE RESERVE TO
FUND FUTURE SERVICE INITIATIVES; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas has
previously established a reserve to fund various service initiatives related to the
FUTURE- Little Rock initiatives; and
WHEREAS, the City's Second Quarter Financial Report projected a substantial
1995 budget surplus, due in part to greater expected collections of the one -half cent
local sales tax approved by voters to finance FUTURE - Little Rock initiatives.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The sum of $1,000,000 is hereby appropriated from the General
Fund balance and is hereby directed to be transferred to the FUTURE - Little Rock
reserve, account number 100 -8513.
