AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION AND
EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FOR RIVERFRONT PARR, THE
NEIGHBORHOOD ALERT CENTERS AND RELATED
IMPROVEMENTS FUNDED UNDER THE HUD SPECIAL PURPOSE
GRANT.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is entitled to receive
$1,700,000 under Public Law 103 -327, the Appropriations Act
for 1995, directing the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development to provide funds designated for Special Purpose
Grants; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors must authorize these
expenditures; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors is desirous that these
funds be used for the development of Riverfront Park, the
Neighborhood Alert Centers, and related improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or his designee is
authorized to expend up to $1,700,000 as shown on Exhibit
"A" attached hereto.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
