4 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
5 16,797 (THE 1995 BUDGET ORDINANCE);
6 REAPPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM THE
7 SPECIAL PROJECTS FUNDS TO THE
8 PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT BUDGET FOR
9 IMPLEMENTATION OF THE EMPLOYEE
10 DEVELOPMENT AND CERTIFICATION
11 PROGRAM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

13 WHEREAS, on December 14, 1994, the Board of Directors
14. adopted the 1995 Budget Ordinance for the City of Little Rock,
15 Arkansas; and
16 WHEREAS, special efforts by the Personnel Department
17 resulted in savings to a Special Project Account created in 1994
18 for compensation review and adjustments; and
19 WHEREAS, a portion of those savings can be used to fully
20 fund the implementation of the Employee Development and
21 Certification activities recently approved by the Board; and
22 WHEREAS, in order to implement the Employee Development and
23 Certification Program a portion of the savings in a Special
24 Project Account are to be reappropriated to the Personnel
25 Department operating budget for salary and equipment purchases.
26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
27 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS;
28 SECTION 1. The sum of $32,000 is hereby reappropriated from
29 Special Projects Account Number 210 - 112 -0315 to the Personnel
30 Department budget in the General Fund for implementation of the
31 Employee Development and Certification Program.
32 SECTION 2. The 1995 Program Budget Summary attached to
33 Ordinance No. 16,797, the 1995 Budget Ordinance, is hereby
34 amended to increase the budget for Organization 1200, Personnel,
35 by $32,000 to provide funding for the Employee Development and
\36 Certification Program.
