AN ORDINANCE REAPPROPRIATING 1988 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
BOND FUNDS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors appropriated $1,500,000 from the sale
proceeds of the 1988 Capital Improvement Bond Issue for the purpose of acquiring,
constructing and equipping a detention center in the City by Ordinance No. 15,473; and
WHEREAS, voters in Pulaski County subsequently approved the construction of
a new and larger county detention center, and the City of Little Rock closed its
detention facility when the new county facility opened, and the City no longer operates
detention facilities; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the planned neighborhood street improvements projects
included in the 1988 Capital Improvement Bond Issue substantially exceeded the original
budget, additional funds are required to complete the projects, and the Board of
Directors has declared its intent to secure the additional funds required to complete the
planned projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The $1,500,000 appropriated by Ordinance No. 15,473 for a
detention center is hereby reappropriated to the Neighborhood Streets project in the
1988 Capital Improvement Bond Fund.
