ORDINANCE NO. 16,777
AN ORDINANCE VACATING PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS
IN SOUTH OAKS APARTMENTS P.R.D., AN ADDITION TO
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas on the 17th
day of October. 1994, asking the Board of Directors to
vacate portions of the public utility easements designated
on the plat of the South Oaks Apartments P.R.D., an addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas (formerly platted as
Block 26, C. O. Brack's Addition - see Ordinance No. 14,841
which retained easements), now appearing of record in Plat
Book C, Page 169, in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board
has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard
all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has
ascertained that the easement, or portion thereof,
hereinbefore described, has heretofore been dedicated to the
public use as a utility easement herein described; has not
been actually used by the public generally for a period of
at least five (5) years subsequent to the filing of the
plat; that all the owners of the property abutting upon the
portion of the utility easement to be vacated have filed
with the Board their written consent to this action; and
that public interest and welfare will not be adversely
affected by the vacating of the utility easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with
the rights of the public generally, in and to the utility
easements designated as follows:
See Exhibits 1 and 2.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by
the City Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County and recorded in the records of the County.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.

To abandon portions of utility and drainage easements retained by Ordinance
No. 14,841 in the former Anna Street right -of -way, CO Brack's Addition more
particularly described as:
A tract of land lying in the SW1 /4 NE1 /4 Section 18, Township 1 North, Range
12 West, more particularly described follows:
Commencing at the southeast corner of South Oaks APTS P.R.D., an addition to
the City of Little Rock and being on the westerly right -of -way line of Mary Street,;
Thence S 64* 12'20" W along the southerly line of said South Oaks APTS.
P.R.D. for 244.56 feet to a point;
Thence N 25* 41'26" W for 20 feet to the Point of Beginning on the easterly
right -of -way line of Anna Street(a street closed by City Ordinance
#14841);
Thence S 64* 12'20" W for 20.0 feet to the westerly right -of -way line of said
Anna Street;
Thence N 25* 41'26" W along said westerly line for 57.61 feet to a point;
Thence S 64* 12'20" W for 11.60 feet to a point;
Thence N 25* 41' 26" W for 5.0 feet to a point;
Thence N 64* 12' 20" E for 31.61 feet to a point on the said easterly right -of -way
line;
Thence S 25* 41'26" E along said easterly right -of -way line for 62.62 feet to the
Point of Beginning; and containing 1,310 square feet or 0.030 acres, more
or less.
All the above now being a portion of the plat known as South Oaks Apts P.R.D.,
an addition to the City of Little Rock.

Addition more particularly described as:
A tract of land lying in the SW1 /4 NE1 /4 Section 18, Township 1 North, Range
12 West, more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the southeast corner of South Oaks APTS. P.R.D., an addition
to the City of Little Rock and being on the westerly right -of -way line of Mary
Street;
Thence S 64' 12'20" W along the southerly line of said South Oaks APTS.
P.R.D. for 126.15 feet to a point;
Thence N 25" 38' 07" W for 20 feet to the Point of Beginning on the westerly line
of a 10 foot wide alley closed by City Ordinance #14841;
Thence N 25' 38'07" W along said westerly line for 70.33 feet to a point;
Thence N 64" 12'20" E for 2.5 feet to a point;
Thence S 25' 39'07" E for 70.33 feet to a point;
Thence S 64' 12'20" W for 2.5 feet to the Point of Beginning and containing 176
square feet or 0.004 acres, more or less.
All the above now being a portion of the plat known as South Oaks Apts P,R.D.,
an addition to the city of Little Rock.
