AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE SECTION 7 -127; ESTABLISHING
FEES FOR OFF - AIRPORT BUSINESSES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission adopted a Resolution on
March 14, 1994 requesting an amendment to the Aviation section of the Little Rock City Code
establishing fees for certain off - airport businesses; and
WHEREAS, the Resolution recommends an increase in the permit fees for non - tenant
car rental businesses in order to provide a more reasonable fee to pay for airport services and
operations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That City Code Section 7 -127 (2) a. be amended to read as follows:
Sec. 7 -127. Rates, fees and charges; amounts.
(2) Permit fees.
a. Class A. Each business operating a nontenant rental car business shall
pay a fee based on the following calculation: One dollar fifty cents ($1.50) for
each vehicle rented by the nontenant rental car business permitted under this
article to an airport patron, multiplied by the number of complete days such
patron rents a vehicle from the nontenant rental car business. A "complete day"
consists of a period of 24 consecutive hours, beginning at the time such vehicle
is rented to the airport patron. With respect to periods of rental that either do
not equal a complete day or that exceed a complete day yet do not equal a
successive complete day, the nontenant rental car business shall pay a fee of forty
cents ($0.40) per hour or partial hour, not to exceed one dollar fifty cents ($1.50)
in any one complete day.
SECTION 2. That all other sections of the Code remain in full force and effect.
