AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 31 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS PROVIDING FOR A VARIANCE
FROM THE MASTER STREET PLAN REQUIREMENTS
FOR ST. MARGARET'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH
LOCATED AT 20901 CHENAL PARKWAY
PERMITTING A DEFERRAL OF CONSTRUCTION
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES (Z- 5773).
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission, at its
January 4, 1994 meeting, approved a conditional use permit
allowing for the construction of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church
and related facilities to be located at 20901 Chenal Parkway;
and,
WHEREAS, a condition pursuant to the approval of said
conditional use permit necessitated compliance with certain
requirements within the Subdivision Ordinance and Master Street
Plan of the City of Little Rock related to an unnamed minor
arterial street to be located adjacent to and north of the
proposed church site; and,
WHEREAS, Deltic Farm and Timber Company, Incorporated has
committed to construct the full width of the unnamed minor
arterial street at such time as the adjacent property is
developed requiring construction of the street.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. That Chapter 31 of the Code of Ordinances be
amended to provide for deferral of certain requirements within
the Subdivision Ordinance and Master Street Plan of the City of
Little Rock for St. Margaret's Episcopal Church at 20901 Chenal
Parkway as follows:
Subsection a. That Chapter 31 be deferred for the
purpose of complying with conditions pursuant to a
conditional use permit issued by the Little Rock
Planning Commission allowing for the construction
of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church and related
facilities to be located at 20901 Chenal Parkway.
The specific improvement to be deferred are curb,
gutter, sidewalk and half of,minor arterial street
improvements along the south side of an unnamed
minor arterial street to be located north of and
adjacent to the proposed St. Margaret's Episcopal
Church site.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30)
days from and after its passage.
