HomeMy WebLinkAbout16622M M i M t � � 181 ORDINANCE NO. 16,622 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MASTER STREET PLAN, ADDING SEVERAL CROSS - SECTION DESIGNS AND MAKING CHENAL /FINANCIAL CENTER PARKWAY A PARKWAY CLASSIFICATION AND FOR OTHER MATTERS. WHEREAS, additional roadway cross - sections are needed to better clarify the City's Street Plan; and, WHEREAS, A street option with open ditches is desirable for the outlining rural- suburban large lot developments; and, WHEREAS, the standards for Chenal /Financial Center Parkway need to be better defined and clarified. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. That the Master Street Plan text in the chapter entitled "Design Standards" is amended to add the attached street cross- sections: 1) Divided principal arterial (Parkway) Stage 1 and Stage 2; 2) Principal arterial - Stage 1 and Stage 2; 3) Industrial street with open drainage; 4) Residential street with open drainage; and 5) Minor Arterial - Urban Section. SECTION 2. That the Master Street Plan text in the Chapter entitled "Road Classifications" is amended to add the attached text for Suburbal Residential and Principal Arterial - Parkway. SECTION 3. That the Master Street Plan Text in the chapter entitled "Functional Classification of Street System, Expressway" is amended as follows: Delete Description From To Chenal Parkway Cantrell Road I -430 Interchange SECTION 4. That the Master Street Plan text in the chapter entitled "Functional Classification of Street System, Principal Arterial" is amended as follows: Add Description Chenal Parkway From Cantrell Road To 1 -430 Interchange 2- SECTION 5. That the item in section 4 is footnoted to require a 'Parkway' section with 6 lanes from Shackleford to Kanis Road (West) and a 4 lane section North of Kanis Road to Cantrell Road. SECTION 6: That the Master Street Plan map is amended to change Chenal /Financial Center Parkway from Expressway to Principal Arterial.
