ORDINANCE NO. 16,617 .
AN ORDINANCE VACATING PUBLIC UTITILY AND DRAINAGE
EASEMENTS IN MARSHALL AND WOLFE'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas on the
28th day of January , 1994, asking the Board of Directors
to vacate portions of the public utility and drainage
easements, shown as street right -of -ways, on the plat of
Marshall and Wolfe's Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, now appearing of record in Plat Book M -2, Page 625
in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
The subject easement areas were created pursuant to the
abandonment of street right -of -ways by Ordinance No. 14,797
and Ordinance No. 11,777 of the Ordinances of the City of
Little Rock.
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board
has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard
all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has
ascertained that the easements, or portions thereof,
hereinbefore described, has heretofore been dedicated to the
public use as a utility and drainage easement herein
described; that all the owners of the property abutting upon
the portion of the utility and drainage easements to be
vacated have filed with the Board their written consent to
this action; and that public interest and welfare will not
be adversely affected by the vacating of the utility and
drainage easements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, releases
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the
rights of the public generally, in and to the utility and
drainage easements designated as follows:
That part of Maryland Avenue (West 9th Street)
closed by Ordinance No. 14,797 lying between
Battery Street and Marshall Street.
AND
The South 50.47 feet of that partof West 11th
Street closed by Ordinance No. 11,777 lying
between Wolfe Street and Marshall Street.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by

the City Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County and recorded in the records of the County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
