ORDINANCE NO. 16,604
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ALLOCATE FUNDS FROM THE 1988 CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT FUND; TO TRANSFER FUNDS FROM
SPECIAL PROJECT FUND ACCOUNTS FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF THE ZOO ADMINISTRATION
COMPLEX; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A BUILDING CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
WITH WILKINS CONSTRUCTION; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 15,473 appropriated
$8,690,000 for Parks and Recreation improvements, and
WHEREAS, the Walthour Bequest and the Zoo Gate
Admission Capital Improvement Funds were created for zoo
improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to
allocate $245,000 from the 1988 Capital Improvement Bond
Fund appropriated for parks and recreation improvements.
SECTION 2: The City Manager is hereby authorized to
transfer $146,059.49 from the Walthour Bequest Special
Project Account (210- 230 -8531) and $100,000 from the Zoo
Capital Improvement Special Project Account (210- 230 -0185)
to the Zoo Administration Complex Project in the 1988
Capital Improvement Bond Fund.
SECTION 3: The City Manager is hereby authorized to
award a contract to Wilkins Construction for construction of
the Zoo Administration Complex in the amount of $439,685.00.
