AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 36.
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, PROVIDING FOR
MODIFICATION OF THE USE PROVISIONS AND
DEFINITION CHANGES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. That Chapter 36. of the Code of Ordinances
be amended as follows:
Subsection a. That Chapter 36., Article V,
Division 5., Section 36 -321. be amended to insert
a new use titled, "Bulk Storage of Highly
Flammable and /or Hazardous Materials" within
listing (c)(1) and to read as follows:
Bulk storage of highly flammable and /or
hazardous materials. This use shall be
permitted to be located by right on tracts of
land larger than five (5) acres in area;
separated from residential zoned or used
property by at least one thousand (1000)
feet, property line to property line; and
providing a minimum of two hundred (200) feet
of setback for storage facilities from all
property lines.
Subs_ecti_on_b.,. That Chapter 36., Article I,
Section 88 -3. "Same - uses." be amended for
purposes of inserting new language with the
definition "Bulk storage of highly flammable
and /or hazardous materials." and to read as
follows:

Hazardous.,_ Materials means all materials and
1. substances which are designated or defined as
hazardous or flammable by law or regulation
of this state or by law or regulation of the
Federal government.

Subsection c. That Chapter 36., Article V,
Division 5., Section 36- 321.(c)(2)a. be amended to
add new language as follows:
a. Bulk storage of highly flammable and /or
hazardous materials that does not conform
to the standards set forth within
Section 36- 321.(c)(1) of this Ordinance.
SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall take effect
thirty (30) days from and after its passage.
