AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE 15,783, THE
1990 BUDGET ORDINANCE, TRANSFERRING CERTAIN
BUDGET ACCOUNTS.
. WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas adopted the Budget Ordinance of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas for 1990 on December 5, 1989; and
WHEREAS, in order to better serve the needs of the citizens
of Little Rock, a new Department of Neighborhood Revitalization and
Planning will be created, which will combine a number of existing
City organizations; and
WHEREAS, in order to accomplish the desired reorganization,
certain budgeted funding must be transferred from the Public Works
Department into the new Department of Neighborhood Revitalization
and Planning.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Organizations 2330, Protective Inspection, and
2340, Environmental Inspection, having an original budget of
$536,832 and $750,831, respectively and having a remaining budget
of approximately $322,000 and $454,000, respectively, are hereby.
transferred to the Department of Neighborhood Revitalization and
Planning.
SECTION 2. That all other provisions of Ordinance 15,783
shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. It is hereby determined that there is an immediate
need- that this new organization be created and that the transfer
of funds is necessary to ensure that its payroll and other
obligations can be met. Therefore, an emergency is declared to
exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
immediately.
