AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 14,347
ESTABLISHING ADMISSION FEES FOR THE LITTLE
ROCK ZOO; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: Ordinance Number 14,347 is hereby amended to
read as follows:
Section (1) The following admission
hereby established to be charged at
Rock Zoo beginning January 1, 1991:
Adults (Over 13 yrs.)
Children (1 -12 yrs. old)

educational institutions.

Section (2) There will be no admission charge
for:
(a) Children under one year of age.
(b) The last Saturday morning of each month -
9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Section (3) The City Manager is hereby authorized
to adjust administratively admission charges
in special circumstances based on policies
approved by the Board of Directors. The City
Manager is hereby authorized to develop a bad
weather policy allowing free admission on bad
weather days to save collection costs. The
City Manager is also hereby authorized to adjust
or eliminate fees for special promotional
days.
Section (4) Special events sponsored by Friends
of the Zoo, Inca are limited to four weekends
per year with receipts being collected by
Friends of the Zoo, Inc.

SECTION 2: Fifty percent (50$) of the increase in Zoo
2 admission fees established or authorized by this Ordinance shall
3 be distributed to the City's General Fund and 50% of such
4 increases shall be distributed to the new Zoo Capital Improvement
5 Fund for projects approved in the most current Little Rock Zoo
6 master plan.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
7 effect from and after its passage and approval.
