ORDINANCE No. 16,094
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $113,900 FROM THE
1987 BOND ISSUE EXCESS INTEREST EARNINGS
ACCOUNT AND AWARDING A CONTRACT TO GWP
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
FIRE STATION NO. 21 IN CHENAL VALLEY.
WHEREAS, the 1987 Bond Issue included funding for
renovation and construction of fire stations; and
WHEREAS, bids for the construction of Fire Station No. 21
in Chenal Valley were advertised on July 14, 1991, and opened on
August 15, 1991; and
WHEREAS, GWP Construction Company was the low bidder at
$616,000; and
WHEREAS, after deleting all deductive alternates in the
amount of $98,600 and allowing $13,126 for the balance of
architectural fees due, an additional appropriation of $113,900 is
needed for construction of Fire Station No. 21.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: There is hereby appropriated an additional
$113,900 from the 1987 Bond Issue Excess Interest earnings account
for construction of Fire Station No. 21 in Chenal Valley.
SECTION 2: The City Manager is hereby authorized to accept
bids and award a contract to GWP Construction Company in an amount
not to exceed $517,400 after excluding deductives, to construct
Fire Station No. 21 in Chenal Valley.
