HomeMy WebLinkAbout162651 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 NO. 16,265 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE AT 5623 VALLEY DRIVE; AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF $25,000 TO REMODEL THE STRUCTURE FOR USE AS A NEIGHBORHOOD ALERT CENTER; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 521 WHEREAS, the City has determined that 5623 Valley Drive would be an excellent location for a Southwest Little Rock Neighborhood Alert Center; and WHEREAS, this structure can be purchased for $34,191.83; and WHEREAS, the structure can be remodeled in an amount not to exceed $25,000. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The Mayor is authorized to execute all documents necessary to affect the purchase and the receipt of a warranty deed for the structure at 5623 Valley Drive provided that the purchase price for said structure shall not exceed $34,191.83. SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to expend an amount not to exceed $25,000 for remodeling work for the Neighborhood Alert Center, this amount to be available from funds appropriated in Little Rock, Ark. Ord. 16,180 (February 18, 1992). SECTION 3. EMERGENCY CLAUSE.
