HomeMy WebLinkAbout16258501 ORDINANCE NO. 16,258 AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING PORTIONS OF WEST 15TH, WEST 16TH STREETS, AND LEANDER m DRIVE, IN THE BLANKINSHIP AND JOSEPHINE PANKEY N (SECOND ADDITION) ADDITIONS IN THE CITY OF �0 LITTLE ROCK, IN PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS. .a WHEREAS, it has been determined that portions of West 15th, West 16th Streets and Leander Drive in the Blankinship and o Josephine Pankey Additions all in the City of Little Rock, in Pulaski County, Arkansas, as designated on the plat of said A' Additions now appearing of record in Plat Book 18, Page 78 and Plat c Book 1, Pages 29, 137 and 221 in the Office of the Recorder of Q) Pulaski County, Arkansas, are no longer needed for corporate purposes, except for public utility and drainage easement purposes. m NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. Except as stated in Section 2 below, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the streets designated as follows: Leander Street from South line of West 15th Street to North line of Lot 12, Block 1, Blankinship's Addition; West 16th Street from South line of Lot 7, Block 2, Josephine Pankey's Second Addition to the North line of Lot 2, Josephine Pankey's Second Addition and Block 1, Blankinship's Addition approximately 200 feet; West 15th Street, if extended, from the East line of Vogler Street to the West line of Leander Street, all in the City of Little Rock, in Pulaski County, Arkansas. SECTION 2. The City specifically retains the right to use, and allow others to use, the former street right -of -way in its entirety as a public utility and drainage easement. SECTION 3. Abutting owners of record, receiving title to the abandoned right -of -way and easement shall at their cost remove all vestiges of public use and access as may exist; such modifications shall include, but are not limited to the following: A. The entrances of both ends of the abandoned right -of -way and easement shall be offset and /or rebuilt to conform to the standard driveway design as required by Ordinance No. 12,501. B. The edge of pavement of the right -of -way shall be rebuilt to conform to existing conditions in the general vicinity where the abandoned right -of -way and easement intersects kywn�ywrwe.aoo r 502 with the remaining public right -of -way. SECTION 4. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County and recorded in the records of the County. SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
