AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE I -430 AND ELLIS
MOUNTAIN LAND USE PLANS ALONG BOWMAN ROAD,
SOUTH OF BIRCHWOOD TO CHERRY LAUREL AND FOR
OTHER MATTERS
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission recommends that
the I -430 and Ellis Mountain land use plans be changed to show
higher uses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The Ellis Mountain land use plan in the area
between Chenal Parkway and Kanis Road west of Bowman Road to the
existing single family subdivision is changed from Multifamily
and Commercial to Mixed Office and Commercial (MOC); with an Open
Space strip adjacent to the Mixed Office and Commercial property.
SECTION 2. The I -430 land use plan in the area between
Chenal Parkway and Hermitage Road east of Bowman Road is changed
from Mixed Residential to MOC.
SECTION 3. In the I -430 land use plan, the property
abutting Bowman Road, approximately 400 feet deep, east of Bowman
Road and north of Chenal Parkway is amended from Office to MOC.
SECTION 4. The multifamily use area southwest of the
Kanis /Bowman intersection in the Ellis Mountain land use plan, is
reduced by moving the single family use to the east of Cherry
Brook.
SECTION 5. The low density multifamily use shown along Spur
Cove and Pinto Point in the Ellis Mountain land use plan, is
changed to single family.
SECTION 6. In the Ellis Mountain land use plan, an area of
Transition Zone is added from the suburban office area east to
within 300 feet of Bowman and including property within 600 feet
of Kanis Road.
