AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $10,000
FROM THE GENERAL FOND BALANCE TO THE
MT. HOLLY CEMETERY BOARD FOR THE
PURPOSES OF ISSUING A WRITTEN
HISTORY OF MT. HOLLY CEMETERY.

WHEREAS, Mt. Holly Cemetery is an historic cemetery owned
by and located within the City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, the Mt. Holly Cemetery is the final burial site of
numerous Arkansas dignitaries including senators, governors,
congressmen, war heroes and men and women who have distinguished
themselves in the community, and economic and political
development of the State of Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, it is important to the City of Little Rock to
develop a written history of the accomplishment of these persons
and to help provide a guide so that others can enjoy an
historical tour of the cemetery.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the
unappropriated funds balance the amount of $10,000 to the Mt.
Holly Cemetery Board for the limited purpose of helping to
finance a written history of the Cemetery.
