AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO.
16,450 WHICH PROVIDED FOR VARIANCES OF
SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS FOR CHARLESTON
HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION; AND DECLARING AN

WHEREAS, on July 6, 1993, Ordinance No. 16,450 was passed
providing variances from Chapter 31 of the Code of Ordinances
for the benefit of Charleston Heights Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, upon reflection, the variances granted in
Ordinance No. 16,450 are contrary to the public health, safety
and welfare of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 16,450 is hereby repealed in
its entirety.
SECTION 2. It is hereby ascertained and declared that the
policy positions on issues of this nature be pronounced as soon
as possible in order to make the policy clear and serve the
needs of the City and its inhabitants, without which the life,
health, safety and welfare thereof are jeopardized and the
immediate effect of this ordinance is necessary for the
accomplishment thereof. It is, therefore, declared that an
emergency exists and this ordinance being necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety,
shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
