AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN LANDS TO THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND MAKING SAME A PART
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK

WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the County Clerk of
Pulaski County, Arkansas, by the owner of the hereinafter
described lands, praying that said lands be annexed to and made a
part of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and,
c WHEREAS, on the 6th day of April, 1993, the County Court of

m Pulaski County, Arkansas, found that the petition was signed by a

r majority of the owners in area and in number of the following
0 described lands located in Pulaski County, Arkansas; that said

lands are contiguous and adjoining the present corporate limits

of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; that an accurate plat or
map of said lands had been filed with and made a part of said
petition; that proper notice had been given for the time and in
the manner prescribed by law, and that all things pertaining
thereto had been done in the manner prescribed by law, and that
said lands should be annexed to and made a part of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, subject to the acceptance of same by the
Board of Directors of said City at the proper time as provided by
law; and
WHEREAS, the time fixed by law for appealing from said order
of annexation made by the County Clerk has expired and no appeal
has been taken from said order;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the following described lands contiguous to
and adjoining the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be, and the same
are hereby, accepted as part of and annexed to and made a part of
the City of Little Rock:
The following described area, all lying wholly within
Pulaski County, Arkansas, to -wit:
Legal Description:
Part of the SW1 /4, NW1 /4, Section 6, Township 1 North,
Range 13 West, more particularly described as follows
to wit: Commencing at the Southeast Corner of said
SW1 /4 NW1 /4, Section 6; thence North 842 feet to center
line of Ferndale Road; thence North 85 degrees 48
minutes West along said center line of said road 414.1
feet to point of beginning of this description; thence

degrees 54 minutes East 437.2 feet; thence South 75
degrees 21 minutes East 200 feet; thence South 9

20 feet thereof being a part of Ferndale Road, all
lying in Pulaski County, Arkansas;
AND
A tract of land being a part of the NW1 14 of Section 6,
Township 1 North, Range 13 West of the Fifth Principal
Meridian, in Pulaski County, Arkansas, more
particularly described as follows: Commencing at the
Northwest corner of said Section 6; thence East, a
distance of 938.50 feet; thence South 09 degrees 54
minutes 00 seconds West a distance of 1,083.05 feet to
the Point of Beginning; thence South 75 degrees 21
minutes 00 seconds East, a distance of 400.00 feet;
thence South 09 degrees 54 minutes 00 seconds West a
distance of 632.49 feet to a point on the North Right
of Way line of Kanis Road; thence North 76 degrees 03
minutes 32 seconds West along said North Right of Way
line, a distance of 199.79 feet; thence North 09
degrees 54 minutes 00 seconds East a distance of 417.20
feet; thence North 75 degrees 25 minutes 00 seconds
West a distance of 200.00 feet; thence North 09 degrees
54 minutes 00 seconds East, a distance of 218.00 feet

Northeast corner of the above described tract being a
part of the said NW1 /4 more particularly described as
follows: Commencing at the Northwest corner of said
Section 6, thence East a distance of 938.50 feet;
thence South 09 degrees 54 minutes 00 seconds West a
distance of 1,083.09 feet; thence South 75 degrees 21
minutes 00 seconds East a distance of 282.01 feet to
the point of beginning on the South right of way line
of the West Markham Parkway; thence South 75 degrees 21
minutes 00 seconds East, a distance of 117.99 feet;
thence South 09 degrees 54 minutes 00 seconds West a
distance of 33.56 feet to a point on the south right of
way line of the West Markham Parkway; thence North 55
degrees 36 minutes 22 seconds West along said South
right of way line, a distance of 31.78 feet; thence
North 61 degrees 19 minutes 00 seconds West along said
South right of way line, a distance of 93.65 feet to
the point of beginning, containing in the exception
0.04 acres, more or less.
In the aggregate, there are 5.626 acres, more or less.

Including all adjacent and abutting streets and public
rights of way.
