AN ORDINANCE CONDEMNING A PARCEL OF REAL PROPERTY
WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS FOR THE
IMPROVEMENT OF VIMY RIDGE ROAD; DIRECTING THE CITY
ATTORNEY TO INSTITUTE CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock does hereby condemn for
public purpose being the improvement of Vimy Ridge Road the
following parcel of real property lying in the City of Little
Rock, County of Pulaski, State of Arkansas, to -wit:
A parcel of land in Little Rock, Pulaski County,
Arkansas, being part of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of
Section 17, T -1 -S, R -13 -W, more particularly
described as follows:
Starting at the Southwest corner of the Northeast 1/4
of the Southeast 1/4 of said Section 17; thence North
86 004144" East along the South line of said Northeast
1/4 Southeast 1/4 a distance of 369.91 feet; thence
continuing North 86 °04'44" East along said South line
716.61 feet; thence North 7 000123" West 306.60 feet;
thence North 83 036124" West 190.78 feet; thence North
3 002100" West 345.51 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING;
thence North 3 °03103" West 311.74 feet; thence North
82 °10127" East 20.07 feet; thence South 3 003103" East
313.12 feet; thence South 86 007102" West 20.00 feet
to the POINT OF BEGINNING containing 6249 square feet
or 0.143 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2. The City of Little Rock hereby declares that
the above described parcel of land is needed for public purpose
as aforesaid and that it desires to acquire fee simple title to
said parcel which is presently owned by John and Betty Lowery and
the City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to file in
the proper court proceedings under the City's power of eminent
domain for the condemnation of said parcel and secure an order of
said court permitting the City to take possession of said
property and to do any and all other things necessary in order to
obtain immediate possession of said property.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
