HomeMy WebLinkAbout151360 0 ORDINANCE NO. 15,136 AN ORDINANCE CONDEMNING A PARCEL OF REAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS FOR AN EASEMENT FOR RIGHT -OF -WAY PURPOSES FOR THE OAK AND BOOKER STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO INSTITUTE CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS. 256 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock does hereby condemn for public purpose being the construction of street, storm drainage improvements and related facilities, the following parcel of real property lying in the City of Little Rock, County of Pulaski, State of Arkansas, to -wit: A parcel of land in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, being the North 6 2/3 feet of Lot 2, Block 3, and all of Lot 3, Block 3, Hick's Subdivision of Boone's Addition and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the NE corner of Lot 3, Block 3, Hick's Subdivision of Boone's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; run thence south along the east line of said Lot 3 a distance of 10 feet to a point; thence northwesterly to a point on the north line of said Lot 3 that is 10 feet west of said NE corner; thence east along said north line 10 feet to the point of beginning. Said easement containing 50 sq. ft. more or less. SECTION 2. The City of Little Rock hereby declares that the above described parcel of land is needed for public purpose as aforesaid and that it desires to acquire fee simple title to said parcel which is owned by 011ie F. and Daisy Gee and the City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to file in the proper court proceedings under the City's power of eminent domain for the condemnation of said parcel and secure an order of said court permitting the City to take possession of said property and to do any and all other things necessary in order to obtain immediate possession of said property.
