ORDINANCE NO. 15,262
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF THE
BLOCK BUILDING LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST
CORNER OF MARKHAM AND STATE STREETS.
WHEREAS, an opportunity exists for the City of Little Rock
to consolidate two remaining City offices in the Markham Street
corridor; and
WHEREAS, the same opportunity exists to improve the City
government complex by adding additional parking; and
WHEREAS, a one -stop permit and licensing center housed in
one location is desirable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
.SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a
contract for the purchase of the Block Building located at the
southeast corner of Markham and State Streets in the amount of
$450,000.00.
SECTION 2. Funds for the acquisition and purchase of the
Block Building in the amount of $450,000.00 are hereby
appropriated from the City's General Fund.
