HomeMy WebLinkAbout15322ORDINANCE NO. 15,322 3 ? 6 AN ORDINANCE CONFIRMING ANNEXATION OF LANDS TO MABELVALE- ALEXANDER SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 142 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS WHEREAS, parties claiming to be a majority in value or more in assessed value of real property located within the territory hereinafter described have filed petitions praying that said territory be annexed to Mabelvale- Alexander Sewer Improvement District NO. 142 of Little Rock, Arkansas (the "District ") for the purposes herein set out, and WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all the parties desiring to be heard, and has ascertained that said petitions were signed by a majority or more in assessed value of the owners of real property (and a majority or more of the owners of real property) within said territory, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas: Section 1. There is hereby annexed to the District the property in the City of Little Rock, County of Pulaski, State of Arkansas, described in the attached Exhibit A, for the purposes of connecting to sewer improvements previously constructed by the District and constructing within the District sewer facilities to serve the inhabitants of said annexed territory and to maintain, repair and operate such new or existing M D -ay facilities; said purposes to be accomplished in the manner and 327 of the materials that the commissioners of the District shall deem to be in the best interest of the District, which improvements may be of a different material or of a different method of construction from that in the original District, and the cost thereof to be assessed upon the real property, described in Exhibit A, according to the benefits received.
