AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF
RIGHT -OF -WAY ALONG KINGSROW DRIVE NORTH OF
CANTRELL ROAD IN KINGWOOD PLACE ADDITION TO
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, it has been determined that a fifteen foot strip of
right- of-way along the Western edge of Kingsrow Drive from Cantrell
Road to the North approximately 165 feet in Kingwood Pace Addition to
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, as designated on t e p at of said
Addition now appearing of record in Deed Book 4 , Page 226 in the
Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, is no no ger needed for
corporate purposes, except for public utility and drainage easement
purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Except as stated in Section 2 below, the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all its rights,
together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the street
designated as follows:
A portion of Kingsrow Drive right -of -way as platted in Plat Book 4,
Page 226 being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 492, Kingwood Place addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; thence South 65 005'00" East 15.00
feet; thence South 24 055'00" West 141.38 feet; thence along a curve to the
right having a radius of 25.00 feet, an arc distance of 28.98 feet and a
chord which bears South 58 007'39" West 27.39 feet to a point on the present
Westerly right -of -way line of said Kingsrow Drive; thence North 24 055'00"
East along said present Westerly right -of -way line 164.29 feet to the POINT
OF BEGINNING containing 2,368 square feet or 0.054 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2. The City specifically retains the right to use, and
allow others to use, the former street right -of -way in its entirety as a
public utility and drainage easement.
SECTION 3. Abutting owners of record, receiving title to the
abandoned right -of -way and easement shall at their cost remove all vestiges
of public use and access as may exist; such modifications shall include,
but are not limited to the following:
A. The entrances on both ends of the abandoned right -of -way
and easement shall be offset and /or rebuilt to conform to
the standard driveway design as required by Ordinance No.
12,501.

B. The edge of pavement of the right -of -way shall be
rebuilt to conform to existing conditions in the general
vicinity where the abandoned right -of -way and easement
intersects with the remaining public right -of -way.
C. The abutting owners of record on both ends of the
abandoned right -of -way and easement shall provide a
six foot (61) fence to shelter the residential property
abutting the subject property to the north.
SECTION 4. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of
Pulaski County and recorded in the records of the County.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.
