HomeMy WebLinkAbout154661 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 NO. 15,466 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION OF PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO INSTITUTE CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS TO ACQUIRE TITLE, RIGHTS OF WAY AND CONSTRUCTION EASEMENTS ON SAID LANDS, AS MAY BE NECESSARY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PARKWAY ROAD IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE E %TENSION OF INTERSTATE 630 WEST TO ARKANSAS STATE HIGHWAY NO. 10; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock does hereby authorize condemnation for public purpose that being the location and construction of parkway road improvements by the I -630 to Arkansas State Highway Parkway Property Owners Improvement District No. 338, extending from Autumn Road at the western terminus of the Financial Center Parkway to Arkansas State Highway No. 10 in Little Rock, County of Pulaski, State of Arkansas, the parcels of real property described in the Exhibit attached hereto. SECTION 2. The City of Little Rock hereby declares that the following described parcels of land are needed for public purpose as aforesaid and that it desires to acquire fee simple title to said parcels which are presently owned by the parties named in the Exhibit, and the City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to file the proper court proceedings if necessary under the City's power of eminent domain for the condemnation of said parcels and to secure orders of said court permitting the City and the Property Owners Improvement District No. 338 to 155 a -�-9 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 take possession of said property and to do any and all other things necessary in order to obtain immediate possession of said property. Therefore, in order to protect the public's health, safety and welfare, an emergency is declared.
