4 AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF SHALL
5 STREET IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
6 EXTENDING FROM EAST SECOND STREET TO THE
7 UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD RIGHT -OF -WAY; AND
8 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
11 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
12 SECTION 1. A petition was duly filed with the Board of
13 Directors of the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, on
14 this lst day of March, 1988, asking the City of Little Rock,
15 Arkansas, to vacate and abandon all that portion of the street
16 designated on the plat of Russell Addition to the City of Little
17 Rock now appearing of record in plat book M -2 page 633, in the
18 Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, beginning at East Second
19 Street to the Union Pacific Railroad right -of -way.
20 SECTION 2. After due notice as required by law, the Board
21 has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all
22 persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained
23 that the street or the portion thereof, hereinbefore described,
24 has heretofore been dedicated to the public use as a street herein
25 described; has not been actually used by the public generally for
26 a period of at least five (5) years subsequent to the filing of
27 the plat; that all the owners of the property abutting upon the
28 portion of the street to be vacated have filed with the Board
29 their written consent to the abandonment and that public interest
30 and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of
31 the street.
32 SECTION 3. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, releases,
33 vacates, and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of
34 Public generally, in and to the street designated as follows:
35 A portion of Shall Street extending from East Second Street
36 to the Union Pacific Railroad right -of -way.

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage.
